Operation Diabetes and Operation Heart have the unique opportunity to provide hypertension and blood glucose screenings and education to adults at Wal-mart as part of Wal-Mart wellness day. There is large room for student pharmacists to make an impact with regard to referring at risk adults to seek medical care. Thirty-five percent of people with diabetes are undiagnosed. In addition, we will also provide lifestyle modification therapy, free recipes, bookmarks, and more.
