Operation Diabetes has the unique opportunity to assist Project Outreach (non-UTSHC affiliated) with their mission of distributing food and hygiene products to over 200 underserved families in the Memphis area. Student pharmacists will be speaking to these families about lifestyle changes and diabetes education as well as taking their blood pressure. These patients have little access to healthcare, thus we will have the potential to make a significant impact in our community.
